HOW DOES SMART GLASS WORK
There is polymer-dispersed liquid-crystals enclosed between two transparent films. In normal condition without power liquid-crystals are randomly arranged and disperse incoming light. When voltage applied to two transparent films, polymer-dispersed liquid-crystals align along electromagnetic field and let light pass through with a low scattering. That we can see as transparency of smart film.
Distinctive feature of smart glass is that in normal condition without voltage it do not block light but just disperse the same like sand blasted or etched glass. Total thickness of smart film just 0.5mm, and switching time less than 0.5 second.
Adjusting voltage, we can adjust transparency of glass named as dimmed smart glass, or smart glass with dimmer.
